Blueberries are back and there are multiple reasons you should add them to more meals than just your breakfast cereal. One study showed that blueberries and apples lower the risk of Type 2 diabetes. Other studies link blueberries to lower risks for heart disease and some cancers. Other berries have health benefits as well, so stock up on strawberries, blackberries, and raspberries, too, at the market. Use them in salads, baking, desserts, and by the handful for a healthful snack.
